I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed yourself with your family and friends.
After picking up my new CD from Discmakers, I find that the promotion is heads-on,
There are many avenues from which to market your music. Many Independent Label musicians such as my- self find that we learn to market our own products instead of depending on the major label to do so who often
take a very large chunk of the artist’s money.
I am glad we live in this day and time. The time of the Internet!
You can market your products be it music on anything else on social networks, your website, via email,
by fax, by word of mouth and not to exclude newsletters and other method of marketing.
Marketing my mail, to radio stations and record companies is still a viable method as well. Direct contact
with others is another method, even offering them a percentage of your CD to make money for themselves on the ones they sell.
You can offer your music as a gift to others. Many musician have a downloadable MP3 card from their
music associates such as CD Baby to sell as well or give as a gift to friends and family.
No matter what you sell, you can do a little every day to push forward your product.
Performing live at some festival always help to promote your music.
This brings me to my new song release, “Love Songs Explosions” (my second album).
This music is a mix of Jazz, Dance, Pop, R&B, and Old World/New World Music.
All original music that will surely place you in a world you have never heard or seen before.
I say seen because I believe music can be visual. And if you don’t believe that, ask a blind person.
I love to write songs with a message, or a universal feeling or experience that many have had.
My thought on that is that if you’ve never experienced sadness, how do you know if you have contentment or happiness. That why lyrics with break-up and make-up go hand-in hand.
